Police The Chinatown police station is at the southern end of Jl Tun HS Lee (tel 03/232 5044). The main Tourist Police station, where you must report stolen property and claim your insurance form, is 1PK, Jl Hang Tuah (tel 03/2302222, ext 259). It's opposite the old Pudu Jail.

Telephone services The cheapest places to make international calls are the Telekom Malaysia offices; the largest branch is in Wisma Jothi, Jl Gereja (daily Mon-Sun 8.30am-9pm).
