Cape Town is an excellent place to travel with children. The city enjoys fine weather, and activities in its many nature reserves, gardens and historic estates let under-10s work off some energy in a safe environment. Many activities for kids are either free or inexpensive, although renting a car is pretty well essential, given the poor public transport.
